From last year’s shoot with @nicolettesamess. Most of the time was spent planning out the post processing of the images. I would be almost finished, and then something at the back of my head would start nagging about one minute detail….which would eventually cause me to restart from scratch.

Ultimately I decided to go with Black & White for the nudes and Color for the latex (Latex coming soon).

I really dig the centerpiece. Make up was done by my sister.

Shot Back in September 2012. A group of Friends flew this little lady in all the way from Texas. She’s that awesome of a model. If I remember correctly, this was the first contact sheet I shot in studio. Before this I always shot my contact sheets at a random location. I felt it was time to start experimenting with the process and change the way I shot these. I’m still pushing and pulling on how to expand on this project, all I can do now is move forward.

I shot a second one with Nicolette, can’t seem to find it. I’ll post it the moment I do!

A contact sheet of the model “Krysta Kaos”. Some of the frames that you see that are a darker shade of grey were caused by one of the flashes not firing along with the others. In particular, I like how those individual frames came out, especially when paired with the properly exposed ones.

Experimenting with the process. Typically for in studio shots of my work, I use a white backdrop with bare flash, but for this one I wanted to attempt a low key light set up with only one flash, softbox to the left of the model. The results were…uh interesting. Developing was interesting too because on this particular day A) I had a case of the butterfingers so I kept dropping the roll of film while trying to get it on to the reel B) I ran out of lab time so I couldn’t even begin to develop the roll once I got it in, so I left it dry in a dev tank for a couple days C) The chemistry was a little wonky once I did get a chance to develop it, creating the messy emulsion you see at the bottom.
